20. Account administration

ID-Synch's Account management console (nph-ida.exe) can be used in a:

• Delegated user administration system, whereby designated people can manage a subset of the user population, across a subset of the target systems.

• Central user administration system, whereby global security administrators can manage any user on any system from any location.

Console users with assigned rights can use the Account management console (nph-ida.exe) to carry out account management tasks, including:

• Creating new accounts, and assigning inventory, for new and existing users

• Modifying systems access for users with at least one existing account. This includes:
  • Adding accounts/inventory
  • Managing account group membership
  • Disabling accounts
  • Deleting accounts
  • Changing a user's Profile ID

• Changing their own console login password

Console users access the Account management console (nph-ida.exe) via the administrator options menu after logging into the Front-end authentication module (nph-psf.exe):
