18.5 Using ID-Synch search pages

When you choose actions that require you to select an item to modify, ID-Synch will present a search page if the total number of items exceeds a configurable threshold.

For example, when you click on Existing user from the Select a recipient for new accounts menu page, ID-Synch displays the Select an attribute page if there are less than 10 in total. When there are more than 10 attributes, ID-Synch displays a search page like the one below:

• Leave the fields blank and click Search to see all items if the total number is 500 or less. If the total number of items is more than 500, narrow the search criteria.
• Enter the wild-card * for any string of characters, and the wild-card ? for any single character.

If your search yields more than one result, you then see the Select a user page with items that match your criteria.

If the search yields only one result, you see the information page for that user.
