The ID-Synch Scheduler automates many of the jobs that should be performed periodically, in order to update and maintain ID-Synch. Scheduled jobs are executed by the PSSCHEDULER service, which is started and configured automatically when ID-Synch is installed. By default, the following jobs are scheduled to run nightly:
You can also schedule other jobs to run automatically using the Scheduler.
From the Central console main menu click Maintenance -
Scheduler to see the
Schedule programs page. You can update a currently scheduled job, view the log, or schedule a new job to run.
To add a new job to run:
ID-Synch verifies that the program exists, if the path is incorrect the job is not added.
If the directory is not specified, the directory to run the job in defaults to the directory where the program to run is located.
In order for a job to execute, the PSSCHEDULER service must be running on the ID-Synch server. The service checks the database for new jobs to run at specified intervals (default is 10 minutes), and runs the appropriate job at the specified time.
