ID-Synch uses roles to allow users to set up or request user accounts based on a group of templates.
You can group the templates according to your organization's needs. For example, you can create roles to reflect:
Sub-roles are roles within other roles. Rather than adding templates one by one, you can add a sub-role to include a group of templates.
Read this section to learn how to use the Workflow configuration menu in the Central console (nph-psa.exe) to:

Add templates to define the group of accounts that are included in a role. You can also add sub-roles, which are simply other roles that include a group of templates. The procedures for adding templates and sub-roles are similar. For simplicity, only the procedure for adding templates is described here.
Before you start, create the role as described in HERE.
ID-Synch displays the Select templates page.
To remove templates or sub-roles from a role, click Delete next to the name of the sub-role or template on the Role information page. The associated accounts are no longer included in an account request based on the role. The sub-role or template still exists in the ID-Synch database, and can be selected by users.
Add authorizers to a role to define who approves account requests based on the role. You must assign enough authorizers to meet the minimum set when creating the role.

ID-Synch displays the Select authorizers page.
To remove authorizers from a role so that account requests based on the role no longer require their approval, click Delete next to the name of the authorizer on the Role information page. The authorizer still exists in the ID-Synch database, and can be assigned to other roles.
