11.1 Identifying users

In order to access ID-Synch using the Front-end authentication module (nph-psf.exe), users must provide a login ID. Depending on the module configuration, users may select to enter their login ID on a trusted system or their ID-Synch Profile ID.

To create or modify the list of targets that users can select to identify themselves:

  1. Select Identification list from the Authentication options menu.

  2. Type a number (1 or higher) next to the targets you want users to select when identifying themselves.

    Note:
The number 1 indicates that the associated target is the top choice in the list.

  3. Click Update.

If users will not be selecting a target to identify themselves, users must provide their Profile ID to log in to ID-Synch. To allow users to enter their Profile ID, you must enable the PSYNCH LOGINID TAG variable on the Front-end authentication module (nph-psf.exe) configuration page. See HERE.
