8. Using the Central Console

After installing the software, configure ID-Synch by accessing the Central console (nph-psa.exe) via the administrator login screen.

Note the characteristics of the following module buttons:

Always use this button to return to a previously accessed page.

Communication between the ID-Synch server and a workstation is encrypted, so clicking on the Back button on your web browser's tool bar causes an error.

Use this button to return to the Central console (nph-psa.exe) main menu.

Use this button to return to the administrator menu to access either the Central console (nph-psa.exe) or Account management console (nph-ida.exe).

ID-Synch's default behavior is to require you to enable the check box next to the Delete button, before the delete action will work.

This is a safeguard to prevent accidental deletion. You can configure general web module behavior to remove this requirement.
