When organizations use an automated workflow, ID-Synch includes an ID generator plug-in to automatically assign login IDs according to enterprise standards. ID-Synch can also automatically approve IDs as entered by requesters when they set up new users.
Some organizations prefer that new login IDs be reviewed by authorizers assigned as login ID approvers. The ID approval module (nph-idi.exe) can be used for this purpose. This module is disabled by default. To enable it, see HERE.
If a login ID does not meet company requirements, authorizers can modify the ID before approving the request or they can simply reject the request. If a request is ignored, it remains in the batch until it is approved or rejected.
In ID-Synch, authorizers must be given permission to assign Profile IDs when they are configured.
